Two countries later...

Guys, this week is turning into even a busier/crazier week than last week.  I just checked into my hotel in Turkey this evening, after spending Sunday-Wednesday AM in Romania.  It was an incredibly amazing experience that I want to share everything about with everyone in the world.  BUT, I am too tired and have had shotty internet access, limited cell phone battery life, and have been hanging out in wind farms all day.

Eating and running have been challenging.  We've been spending so much time on the road that I haven't really eaten meals lately but lots of snacks from gas stations, which aren't the best meal options.  I am trying to fit in all the fruits and veggies I can get and I even tried PICKLED WATERMELON earlier this week.  It was not my thing.

I did get my 5-mile run in on Monday.  I did it on the treadmill because when I asked if there was a place to run outside at my hotel, I was told that wasn't a good idea because the stray dogs would chase me.  Okaaay.

And today I literally traveled from 6:30 a.m. until 10:30 p.m. and had no chance to run my 8 miles.  And the hotel gym here only has a fitness center that opens at 8:00 a.m. yet we head out from the hotel for the day at 7:30 a.m. and I have no idea when I will be returning to the hotel in the evening.  This is the first time I have no known when I would be able to get a run in.

I will try my best and will also be trying my best to keep you guys up to speed.  But, in the meantime, hello from across the pond.  I'm enjoying my time being a world traveler!

  1. Maybe you should write a book about your marathon training experience? I'm serious! I know each experience is unique, but yours is especially unique with all of the travel!

    1. Thanks for thinking I could write a book Jackie, haha!!! But in all seriousness, a book is on my bucket list for sometime in my life, so I will keep this in mind and take this as a compliment that you'd even think this :)

  2. What a great experience! I'm very glad you opted to get on the treadmill instead of chased by wild dogs. I mean, I'm sure it would have helped your speed, but it doesn't sound all that great :)
