Homemade sushi with the help of YouTube

One of the best things in life are when you are able to bring together two totally separate areas of your life that you love. The past couple weekends I have been able to introduce some of my childhood best friends to some of the people who I am currently closest with in my everyday life. It is an incredible feeling to bring together two people I love and have them get along, laugh, joke around, and all around enjoy each others company.

Last night when cooking dinner I was able to combine two more of my loves. Cooking and YouTube. Last night we made homemade sushi with the help of a Howcast Youtube video, a bamboo mat I got for Christmas, and some ingredients we picked up at the Asian Supermarket over the weekend.

I am not a huge sushi person since I am not a fish person (at all), but I do like California Rolls and we made Inside Out California Rolls. They were delicious and a lot of fun to make. I highly recommend everybody who is a sushi fan to take the time to try and make it at some point. I think that sushi is one thing that is 99% of the time going to be best to purchase at a restaurant or from a pro, but as a once-in-a-while fun meal... I highly recommend trying to make your own sushi!
